Spent the day getting everything ready for Mum`s 70th Birthday next week. Paperwork et al is complete and I think we`re ready to go!

Had Jen over to stay as she is going through a tough time with work. Decided to cheer her up so took her for a feast up at The Jolly Thresher. Was yummy :)

Got an email last week to say that I had won a chocolate Badger from Betty`s in Harrogate. He arrived today and is looking way to cute to eat! Dilemma time :)

Picked up on time by Emily and got to the airport 2 hours before check i was even open! To make matters worse, we also found out as time went on that our plane was still in Birmingham with at least a 3 hour delay.However, an unattended black bag with blue ribbon provided the afternoon entertainment as we all got evacuated and the Bomb Squad were called. Got home to a cold and snowy Birmingham 2 hours late. Not bad considering!!!

Last day of the holiday and back to our favourite lunch spot, where they had opened the ski waterslide........spent a couple of happy hours watching people get soaking wet and humiliated. So sad to have to pack up and go home tomorrow!

Weather in the morning was really bad, so we didn`t ski at all today ~ plus I wasn`t feeling too clever with the Chicken Pox! However, it all cleared by early evening, and we were treated to a lovely sunset.

Weather broke today and managed to get a good day`s skiing in. Lunch in Arc 2000 in the sunshine.

It has snowed and snowed and snowed today, lifts were shut, carnage on the slopes and the final nail in the coffin was when the wind picked up to 25mph and made things no fun at all! Early pub call :)

Sunday 17th March 2013

Only skiied for an hour today as got caught in the middle of a hoolie! The wind was FIERCE!!! Free facial, and possibly even Botox, as for a moment there, my face was frozen solid! Hopefully get more skiing in tomorrow.......due 22 cms overnight and the wind dies down a bit!

It all started so well! Boarded 10 mins after take off time.......to be told we have another 40 minutes holding time......then when we pushed back....the plane broke! Then had to wait another hour and a half for a new plane to arrive. And another half hour to eventually take off. Missed our Sno Bus booking, was assured there was a bus at 5.15 for us. Waited an hour and a half at Chambery, to be told at 5 they had cancelled it and it was now leaving at 7 ish. Ended up getting a private taxi............Got there in the end though and the apartment is lovely. Les Arcs 1950 is also fab.....if bloody expensive!

As always happens when you try to go away, the phone never stops ringing, and you get incredibly busy. Eventually got to Birmingham Airport and chilled out at the Novotel BIA with a few scoops and a nice meal of noodles and prawns. Lovely :)

Exciting news at work today so we put on our happy faces and went to The Jolly Thresher for tea. Food was lovely and they`ve refurbed it brilliantly. Our new Summer pub is found!

Finally made a Salmon dish that Macker liked!!! Home made Thai Salmon Fishcakes with spicy greens and Basmati Rice. They were absolutely gorgeous and as unfishy as a fishy thing!!

Great day of football.....Not only did Southampton, Wigan AND Reading lose, but my Dream Team decided to perform quite well, with 2 players still to go. Relegation battle getting really tight. Just need to pull something out the bag against City tomorrow.

Had a lunch meeting in Bury with Andrew and Neil from Nolan Redshaw talking about what we are doing going forwards.......................got back to find Baggy curled up on her radiator blanket........with her tongue sticking out! Such a cutie :)
