Woke up and decided to head off as we are shattered from the walk yesterday!! Came back over Hardknot Pass ~ was absolutely stunningly beautiful if a little hairy in places!!! Deffo want to go back and walk the area............

Big yomp today. 9.3 miles taking in 2 Wainwrights ~ Whin Rigg and Illgill Head. Was sooooo good to be back out in the hills, if a little tiring! Howard and Jan joined us for dinner tonight which was lovely. Overall, a thoroughly awesome day :)

So today, we drove up to the Lakes on our KGB Deal.......£ 80 for 2 nights bed and breakfast at The Bower House Inn Eskdale. Was lovely, a proper old coaching inn with cosy bar and comfy rooms. Struck lucky with this one :) Off for a walk tomorrow, then Howard and Janet arrive on Saturday........

A winning email on Boxing Day :) MORE Champagne ! Can`t wait for it to arrive either, as I`ve nearly smashed all my champagne flutes and this comes with 2 of them !!!! Happy winnings :)

Christmas Day :) Calm before the storm, and the only time that the present get to look pretty under the tree! 8 of us for lunch today, Mum and Dicky, Tom and Mary and Mat and Sharon. Hopefully it will just be chilled out and a whole lot of fun !

Cake decorating day ! Had another little problem with the Royal Icing ~ one day I`ll get it right! But pleased with the results nonetheless :) Happy Christmas Eve !

Ran around like a loon all day getting everything prepped for Christmas! Picked up the bird from the shop, and it looks a perfect size! Looking forward to Wednesday now! Went out for our tea as it`s £5 pasta night at Pastiche. My favourite Spaghetti Amatricana.
