We did it! What a great day. Started off a bit damp but got muggier. However, as we came up the top of the scree slope Mickledore , the mountain mist descended and we spent the next 2 hours in a damp drizzly fog! Still managed to find our way safely to the summit though.......but with no view whatsoever!!!! Highest point in England, and nothing to see for it! We felt so good, we even ran down........but by the end wished we hadn`t! Crippled! But what a great day.....
