Took Macker to the dentist this morning to get the final part of his root canal treatment done. He was a very brave soldier and all went well ! Went to do the shopping whilst waiting......and found these bad boys. Wasabi Peas. One word for them though.........underwhelming. Was very disappointed by the lack of a smack in the nose action!

 Got up early and went off for a yomp up Mow Cop....second attempt after my last failed effort and 

"Stile Gate". Burkie came too, and announced that he is walking Kilimanjaro in September with Robbo for the BHF......so think The Bear may be joining us more regularly! Was a tad muddy today though.....got a bit mucky in the process! Went to Elmas in Lymm for tea, and was absolutely yummy!

Snowed all night last night so woke up to a thick blanket of snow over everything! Hunkered down and decided to do nothing but watch television :) Not sure what this little fellow is hoping to catch though.............!

Not too bad a day at work, relatively busy at the moment, which is a good thing. Bit the second leg Villa v Bradford game didn`t go to plan.Missed out on a final at Wembley by 1 goal. We were absolutely piss poor. Shocking :(

Was going through the post today, when I found a delivery note from DPD......! Despite all the cock ups and assurances that the order was cancelled and I would not be getting a delivery....here are the missing boots! As long as I don`t get charged for them......happy days Surfdome :)

Finally arrived home after a 4 hour delay! Soooooo tired, but very happy to be back! Nice to have a bath, a cup of tea and a quick cuddle with the Baggy Cat. And relax :)

Last day and we finally got a Bluebird day. Bombed our way round the resort taking in every run we possibly could including the tough Red Traversette.....! Matt  came with us in the afternoon and we took him down Marmottes....didn`t realise it had the most EVIL chairlift we`ve ever seen at the bottom! Having survived that, had a great last day/night :)

Great morning skiing despite visibility being poor, but by the afternoon weather closed in so to compenaste we took Jen and Rich to the cake shop. Got back, drank wine and played card games with Matt, Rach and Dawn and laughed our socks off! Asked Emma and Dan our chalet hosts to join us for dinner........a really fab day!

An awesome day! Started off as a whiteout but got better as the day progressed.........Went out with Rach and Matt in the afternoon, and ended up having the best time! We did the same run over and over ( Perdrix and Papillon ) and absolutely nailed it. Laughed a lot as well. Brilliant time :)

Completely different day ....... total whiteout! However, got our skis on and went for it anyway! Was tough, but worth it. We can now ski in any conditions which was a great feeling!

Beautiful day. Jenny spent the morning getting her feet in before ski school tomorrow, whilst we went to check out out our favourite runs. Another amazing day. Our chalet mates seem great too which is always a bonus!!

Left Manchester an hour and a half late after a bit of a kerfuffle with an emergency exit sign ( a lost one!) and a lack of petrol for the envisaged journey! But it was all worth ut when we arrived in La Rosiere to a beautiful day. Very Happy despite the chalet not quite being what wee expected.......

Spent most of the day packing and looking at snow forecasts......! Think we may be having an incredibly snowy week, so thermals are the way forward! Been absolutely ravenous all day for some reason, and have even made friends with the toaster for a supper rendezvous......I think I`m just getting reay for the skifest to come :)

Woke up nowhere near as stiff today thank goodness, so will definitely be okay for skiing.....if the weather plays ball! Snowstorms all week are forecast at the moment! Great! Went over to see how we are getting on at Middleton and apart from a few finishing touches and getting rid of the damp, we are all but there, so hopefully we should have it let within a month :)

Woke up in soooooo much pain today! My shoulders, my arms, my wrist and my ribs all agony! However, my swollen knee and thigh have given me no jip whatsoever, despite the mounting array of colours it is trying on for size! Touch wood, we`ll be ok for skiing though, that`s the main thing!

Not my finest day! Woke up early, to get out on an 8 mile yomp up Mow Cop and through Little Moreton Hall. Sadly though, play was called off at only 3 miles in, when I decided to fall spectacularly over a stile.......into a field of cow poo! Winded myself, gave myself whiplash, bruised ribs, shoulder and wrist, and a black and blue knee the size of an orange! Apart from that it was great.

Felt rubbish when I woke up, so immersed myself in the kitchen with the IPod and some fresh ingredients. Spent 3 wholly pleasant hours in there, making tomato soup, brocolli cheese pasta bake, mushroom bhajee and chilli chicken. All ready for our walk tomorrow, and dinner`s cooked to boot. Excellent day! .......Oh. And Villa are through to the 4th round of the FA Cup. 2 - 1 win against Ipswich :)

Back on the health regime with a big bang! Did an hours exercise then sorted out the upstairs rooms that have been unloved for a while! Spent the rest of the day putting together menus and recipes.....then made this gorgeous Quorn and Vegetable Cottage Pie with steamed peppered cabbage. It was absolutely yummy and only 400 calories as the top was made with potato and parsnip. Looking forward to tomorrow`s chilli chicken :)

Just walked into the kitchen and saw that I had one bottle of wine left from Christmas. Sadly it is going to have to stay there until Friday 11th January, as I am determined not to drink until our holiday. Bets are on for how long it lasts...........

Got woken up this morning by this gorgeous boy, bringing my shoes to me in bed. I think Barney was trying to tell me something!! Matthew and Diane cooked us all an amazing breakfast , and then we headed back down the motorway to have a quiet start to the year. Trying to stay tee total till holiday now.............expecting to break that by Friday :)

What a FANTASTIC New Year`s Eve! Got to the Lakes and went to a lovely , real pub in Patterdale called The White Lion. Lined our stomachs with some food before going back for quiz night, party games and buffet! Much mayhem, much laughter, and I got down doing Gangnam with the kids! Burkie, as usual, was a disgrace!!! Great, great fun.
